About

My name is Richard Ingate. I was inspired to start this project by the Triggernometry podcast with Mo Gawdat

I have long been interested in topics of wellbeing and mental health and have at various times worked as a hypnotherapist and coach. Also going into the mix is my life long practice and study of Buddhism.

Times are changing, values shifting and much that was worthwhile is being lost. I believe the world is drifting into a period of greater tyranny – be it religious fundamentalism, political or ideological – all of it puts beliefs and ideas above human reality and the traditional positive values of compassion, generosity and patience.

One of the greatest changes will be AI and it made sense to me when Mo Gawdat talked about AI becoming what we teach it to be. there is much that is unfortunate and toxic being fed into AI language models via, for example, social media.

This is my small voice attempt to provide some mitigation to the negative narratives and provide real people with real resources at the same time.

‘Take what is useful and discard the rest.
